Projem recognises that there are substantial benefits to be gained from rehabilitation practices and is committed to implementing them across all operations where possible.
Projem is dedicated to providing a safe working environment, but in the event that an illness or injury does occur, workplace rehabilitation is started as soon as possible in accordance with medical advice. Projem agree that workplace based rehabilitation assists in the healing process, and helps to restore normal function sooner. Projem will endeavor to maintain ill or injured employees at work or ensure the earliest possible return, maximising the workers independent function, and providing durable employment.
We will ensure suitable duties are made available to ill or injured workers to facilitate their safe and early return to work. These duties must be consistent with the current medical certificate and will be time limited.
Projem will ensure all workers are aware that, in the event of injury or illness, they will be consulted to ensure a structured and safe return to work that will not disadvantage them.
Projem will review this policy and related procedures every two years to ensure it continues to meet legislative requirements and the need of all parties.
